Multimodal 2024 will once again be welcoming visitors and exhibitors to the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) within the next fortnight. With more than 280 exhibitors, over 300 companies and the UK’s biggest supply chain conference, you’re bound to learn something new. As the largest event for our company to date, there is plenty of space for networking, collaborating and creating partnership.
International Freight Solutions Ltd hope to attend once again as a regular return to showcase our company to its highest ability within the forever uprising Freight industry. This event serves as an excuse to meet up with our agents and partners, and to get ourselves out there in the hopes of finding new suppliers and clients for future business. By attending the event this year, we not only aim to increase our current numbers, but we also aim to strengthen our relationship with both clients, suppliers and the event holders.
As arguably part of the foundations of Multimodal, we have been attending the event since around 2008 – Associated as the industry’s annual meeting place, the organisation has spent the previous 16 years creating a community for supply chain and logistics, built up from importers, exporters, manufacturers, wholesalers, shippers, retailers, and the champions who stand behind them in support.
Multimodal has always aimed to be a center point of connections, giving cargo owners and shippers a place to attend – Being a birth point for methods to improve their supply chains and trading ideas. This leads to improvement within the industry in ways of solving transport and logistics issues. With over 280 exhibitions and over 300 companies, Multimodal 2024 is bound to be the biggest event yet and with an uprising number of visitors attending each year, this event only ever improves. Government should reform its dated Plug-in Truck Grant – introduced eight years ago – to reflect the progress made by the sector in developing new zero emission truck technology and help cut CO2 by 18.8 million tonnes a year, says the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

It’s also a critical freight corridor and earlier this month a new service began sharing those tracks. It may not be quite as prestigious as the famous express, but the destination is the birthplace of the renowned steam locomotive.
