Identifying dangerous goods is the first step to reduce the risks posed by the product with proper packaging, communication, handling, and stowage.
To ensure safe handling it is essential that dangerous goods are accurately declared. It is important for Dangerous Goods Notes (DGN’s) to be completed correctly. In the road and maritime environment issues are particularly common, where the information is provided to the carrier either by the DGN, the dangerous goods consignment note, or transport documentation.
