Last week Theresa May made her first visit to South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya as Prime Minister, as she focused on renewed partnerships between the UK and Africa, looking to boost Britain’s post-Brexit trade.

During the visit the Prime Minister discussed how Britain can work alongside African countries to help deliver important investment and jobs, as well as how to continue working together to maintain stability and security.

Theresa May said: “Africa stands right on the cusp of playing a transformative role in the global economy, and as longstanding partners this trip is a unique opportunity at a unique time for the UK to set out our ambition to work even closer together.”
